Great ep from both villain and hero side. All for One basically undead all 6 seasons of work freeing so many villains. Hero stuff brief but nice seeing some recover and deal with losing.

Why did all for one never take overhauls quirk? it just don't make sense to me.

I just thought of something I didn't think of when this chapter was released. Overhaul's quirk was in his arms and now that they are gone he can be considered quirkless, right? So why have him in Tartarus?

I don't think they know that. For all they know, he can use his other limbs to use his quirk.

Touché. I asked a friend of mine what they thought. They said he might have been there because of what he did, just on one of the upper levels (assuming they knew he could no longer use his quirk).

The concept of tartarus is dumb, if villains were that dangerous they'd just be executed. There's no public support to keep people who are mass murderers and major threats with insane quirks alive

Considering the concept of a justice system exists theirs definitely support for not just murdering everyone who commits a crime.

It's not just "everyone who commits a crime", that's a strawman. I literally specified that these people are both mass murderers and have such dangerous quirks they cannot be safely contained and would be massive threats if escaped. Esp All for one.

They're not just mass murderers though. You're ignoring that their quirks make containment unreasonably dangerous to try to just contain to boot, esp in the case of All for one.

But if you make that argument you make it for everyone. Plenty of criminals have quirks that can cause mass death. Hell many civilians do. You can’t just kill everyone you need to follow the law or society doesn’t work

The "concept of Tartarus" is archetypal, even biblical - more than biblical infact considering Ragnarok and representations of 'the end of all things' in other cultures.
I have zero experience with the manga but what's unfolding is a close parallel to the Gotterdamerung - The Twilight of the Gods.... the sins/mistakes of the former pantheon of heroes coming back full force.. for example: the mercy of not killing All For One ..... if he could even be killed.
Often immortal-like figures cannot simply be killed but in some way have to cause their own downfall/death... which in many ways is perfect with All For One highjacking Shigaraki's body and giving him so many new abilities.
I just see All For One digging his own grave because this series is all about the will to overcome ... and at the same time setting up all these villains who the new era of heroes will earn their fame in defeating. Cheers.
